Points for style, but loses out in the "How the fuck am I going to reload this" catagory.

Ooooh very nice indeed! I love the combination of sharp, angular edges surrounding the pleasantly curved organic frame.
As for the already thoroughly discussed curved magazine design, I'm not sure why everybody jumped to the mag being circular haha I'm not even sure how that could ever physically work. I saw it as simply a very cool half circle design that would work exactly like any other mag and be loaded in from the bottom *shrugs*
Reminds me of a curved machine pistol design I made last year with a U-shaped magazine!

thanks! im happy that you like it! thats exactly what i was going for. as for the magazine what bothers me most is how hard it would be to store circular mags and how would it fit in a vest.....

hey, i absolutely love this design, i'm obsessed. if you don't mind i would like to turn this into a 3D prop. and to answer samster5's question as to how it would work: it could be like a P90 where the magazine is designed to increase the capacity.
and to answer your 'question': the magazine is curved. if it at such a size it can fit around the human body. the magazine could be armoured and curve around the body to create armour plating. there is one issue. the more ammo you use. the less armour you have. meaning the more you tire out you damage output via ammo loss, the more you tire out your defence. you get weaker and weaker and weaker the more you use the gun.

OR.

each soldier's shoulder pads or limb armour has room for the mags to sit, curving over the shoulder or thigh.

sure go ahead, do you mean a real life model or a cg model? Anyways i would love to see what you do with it.
I like your idea to combine body armor and magazines sounds like it can work.

thanks. i make real life models of guns. i'll send you a sneak preview of the very early stages...

as i am a fashion student. i work a lot of what i find that i am allowed to use to create similar designs in clothes. so as i make this rifle prop. i am working on a costume design to work with it. and i may end up making this costume. but don't get your hops up on that because i have other projects that take priority.

thanks again.

cool I actually sew a lot. I have an industrial necci and an Industrial singer. (I sewed my finger for the first time a few weeks ago ... gave myself a string tattoo) I learnt to sew in the army  so i do mostly military gear. I would love to see some stuff you did. and sneak preview would be great! :D

very interesting. you've had the life then. i study fashion through cosplay. and move many costumes into my college course and submit cosplay pieces as my work. totally different to other, 'normal' people (i consider myself different, not special or superior, i just "generate brain waves differently" as my father wisely says). and thanks for the watch.

i must ask. have you ever played a video game named "mass effect"? it's what most of these props will come from. if you have not played or heard of it... it is a sci-fi exploration game with a military setting/theme. i draw a lot of my inspiration from games. but mass effect really inspires me.

i shall send pictures soon. :3
